Oh my god. Paul R told me about this site and it's fab. I thought u guys had dissapeared. Great to hear you are still working together, although sure you would have killed each other by now lol. Every time I pass mellows and look up at that top bedroom window I remember being bloody woken for change at 2am whilst Dave snored on the sofa and phill had gone to town!!!! Those were the days. I'll let mum know to look this up, she often talks about you both. So Bournemouth! I knew phill would end up there. I am often in b/mouth with work so get in touch and we can meet for a coffee or a cocktail. Lots if love, Tasha. X

Hey everyone,
what good times! Amazing to see so many of the old faces. Bizarrely I often get a nod or hello from people in Reading/Caversham that I recognise but can't quite place......and there they are in the photos! Next time a 'Mellow's' remembrance chat will break the ice.
So now I own and run PlugnPlay Studios in Caversham holding up the dance music tradition. I have a 7am license, so for those still partying...... 
I still DJ and will be performing at Bestival this year. I am also making lots of music, I have a record deal under the name 'Russell's Teapot' and my latest single has just been playlisted on Radio1. Was walking down the Mellow Brick Road with Mat Carter the other day and said that I had seen this site. I have done vocals on a number of his new tracks to be released soon. They are banging so check him out if you get the chance.
Love to all, hope you are enjoying life and haven't ended up too depressed from our over endulgent early 90's .

To Philip & Dave - After several years I finally track you down. Wet and cold here in Marrakech. Internet cafe, quick Google and voila - Mellows nostalgia website. Me: 1999-2003, Australia; 2004-2007 S.E. Asia; presently, Morocco. Back in UK in April, hopefully back working in my old job based near Bristol.
I was actually in Bournemouth at the start of my travels this time, back in October 2008, as I caught the ferry from Poole with my bicycle and cycled to Spain. Also, I sometimes work near Bournemouth. It remains one of my favourite areas.

Hey those days were a laugh spinning down at Mellows.. props to Phil & Dave. I left Reading for London in 02 got married & have 2 lovely kids.Still DJ but only at big events & festivals now (Like Brighton Festival, Dedbeat).Over the years as a DJ Ive warmed up for all my heros ranging from Gwen McCrae, Roy Ayers, Biz Markie, Brand Nubian, Amp Fiddler, Crusadors, Sugar Hill Gang (while I name drop have you got all night..lol) etc etc & now as a musician play in one of the top funkbands in europe 'Funkshone'..check us on youtube! (lp available in HMV etc)...We headlined Camdens Jazz Cafe 4 times last year & on Saturday played the 100 club.. we also headlined a festival in Norway replacing Earth Wind & Fire!!
i'm also a producer & my music is getting airplay (ep up on iTunes - DJ Prone - Fade 2 Fortune.Musicaly all is real good & I would like to thank the good folk & vibe of Mellows for helping me pave the way to my success (although i'm still in a day job .. heh heh). Its funny seeing that picture of me on the site with my ex.. I forgot I had hair once.. lol

Hey Guys...A friend told me about the site, and so here i am..Its great to see you still hold the mellows thing dear to you..Reading has really got depressing, too many bars, too few people bothering to go out, and MOST importantly,not many playing truly great soul / funk / latin vibes..Personally, I'm involved in a (periodic) soul event called Golddust, which is real ()rare)groove and boogie / soul we all love, and I do a bit at the Jazz Cafe (where i try hard to slip in some great classics if a few "in the know" people are in)...So basically, im still pushing fine soul music out to anybody that loves it or wants to find out more about it...Regrettably, most punters are just happy to dance to the mainly purile pop R&B that has become all too familiar everywhere we go...SO....You'd better organise a reunion and you had better invite me to DJ, otherwise there will be words im afraid!!!
